Overtone welcomes a new Executive Director!

Fahad Siadat is an active arts entrepreneur and administrator in the music world. He has a reputation as a dynamic and engaging speaker and has written articles and presented on such topics as The Future of Choral Music (NewMusicBox), Collective Models for Choirs (Chorus America), and Exploring Timbre in Choral Ensembles (ACDA). In 2012, he founded See-A-Dot Music Publishing, Inc., a company devoted to the advocacy of new choral works and emerging composers. He is a founding member of C3LA: The Contemporary Choral Collective of Los Angeles, and a board member of C4 in New York.

In addition to his work in arts administration, Fahad comes to us with a background in music performance, composition, and conducting. His creative work focuses on interdisciplinary storytelling, folding together words, sound, and movement into mythic narratives. Fahad maintains a robust schedule of solo and ensemble performing including performances at SASSAS, the Hear Now Festival, Tuesdays@MonkSpace, and the Masters in the Chapel Concert Series. He regularly sings with C3LA: The Contemporary Choral Collective of Los Angeles, and HEX Vocal Ensemble, for which he is artistic director. 


Fahad is regularly commissioned to compose, and act as music director for, concert music ensembles, dance companies, theater troupes, and film studios. He has worked as composer and/or music director for: Theater Dybbuk, Rosanna Gamson Dance, Monmouth University, Seton Hill College, C4: The Choral Composer/Conductor Collective, The Contemporary Choral Collective of Los Angeles, Smitten Kitten Film Productions, the award winning Armada Films, Jacksonville Dance Theater, the California EAR Unit, New Century Players, TOCCATA Orchestra, and Warrior Poet Theater Group. His music has been performed in Europe, China, and across the United States.
