Who we are (Overtone Industries):
Overtone Industries is a genre-bending opera-theater company, founded by composer, actress and theater visionary O-Lan Jones, that develops and presents original stories in a collaborative environment and cultivates opportunities for artists with an authentic voice to develop new works.
What we do (Original Work):
Overtone Industries brings to life original works of mythic depth that celebrate the grandeur of the human experience. Company Founder and Artistic Director, O-Lan Jones, is a passionate collaborator working with industry leaders and newcomers alike, to develop and perform authentic stories that have never been told before .
Supporting Artistic Growth and Exploration (Original Vision):
Original Vision is an incubator project from Overtone Industries focused on encouraging and guiding composers and librettists to develop their unique visions in an authentic, boundary-breaking environment.
The project consists of a six-week workshop period for three teams, with dedicated mentorship from O-Lan Jones and Fahad Siadat, culminating in the presentation of new opera-theater scenes performed and directed by Overtone’s creative team.
The Original Vision program does not impose any specific qualifications in terms of age, experience, background or submission fees.
