Involved in experimental theatre, music and opera since she was 16, O-Lan has been an actress with the distinction of originating several roles for such playwrights as Sam Shepard, Julie Hebert, Beth Henley, Murray Mednick and John Steppling. She's won awards for acting, composing, sound design & writing. Since 1983 she has been collaborating with Kathleen Cramer as a composer and has worked as both composer and sound designer for the Wilton Project; The Padua Hills Playwrights; The Taper, Too; and L.A.W.S.C. Her music has also been heard at Playwright's Horizon, the Workhouse, and New York's famed La Mama and the Kurt Weill Recital Hall. Her screen credits include Edward Scissorhands, Natural Born Killers, The Truman Show, Lonesome Dove, Seinfeld, & The X-Files.
